Montreal's internet-based companies offer Canadian and U.S. clients, quality, distance-based products and services, despite the environment that years of restrictive anti-English provincial attempts at legislature have created. The rationale is that English professionals have fewer and fewer places to spend their free time and thus find enjoyment through work-from-home activities (as opposed to having to deal with day to day interactions with individuals who despise persons who prefer to communicate in English as opposed to French). Thus, the environment near one's home is paramount for business and work-life balance. The Town of Mount Royal (and the L'Acadie Circle / Marche Centrale marketplace) is one such area of growth.
