Statistics is the discipline of Mathematics brought to life in either the form of tables and figures or inferences that one can make regading a few, or a few, applied to many.

And it is embraced for historical tried and true reasons because before the book of Matthew there is the book of numbers which was what we now term a Census and for at least 2013 years a Census was recognized as an important aspect of life.   And while on an evangelical topic and referencing the book of Matthew, or the 1st gospel, CA Inc's founder and lead consultant might me considered genetically predisposed to superior writing skills because his great, great, great... etc... granddad Matthew could be considered the best writer of the life and times of his friend and teacher, Jesus Christ.   Why else would his writings on the life and times of Jesus Christ be placed first?
